BrainStorm’s core technologies and methods are subject to the following patent applications:
- The NurOwn TM technology for generating oligodendrocyte-like cells treatment of medical conditions of the CNS is covered by PCT patent application number PCT/IL2006/001410 filed on December 7, 2006.
In addition, the Company has filed for a trademark on NurOwn.
The patent applications, as well as the relevant know-how and research results, are licensed from Ramot at Tel Aviv University, Ltd, the technology transfer company of Tel Aviv University. BrainStorm and Ramot will work together to protect and enhance its intellectual property rights by filing continuations and new patents to cover any improvements in the NurOwn™ technology and any new discoveries arising in the course of the ongoing R&D program.
